Enthusiastic about the art of writing and the magic of storytelling, I am often described as a curious and dedicated Writer. Immersing myself in each project, I eagerly delve into the research, production, and meticulous refinement of stories that breathe life into businesses and captivate audiences.

As a mother of two beautiful children, my love for writing originally sprouted as a means to express myself and chronicle the journey of my own life. Words became my solace, offering comfort and eloquence as I sought to convey the essence of my experiences.

From a young age, I found solace in crafting poems and weaving short stories, which naturally led me to pursue a degree in Creative Writing & Editing. Throughout my university years, I had the incredible fortune of being mentored by seasoned writers, and I was even honoured to participate in editing one of their published books.

As part of my degree, I also majored in Marketing, and though writing took a backseat temporarily, my passion never truly waned. I embarked on a marketing career, finding myself deeply engaged in client relations and contributing to the digital growth of esteemed organizations like Remarketing Of America, End Of The Roll, and Tommy Guns.

Throughout the years, my passion for writing remained steadfast, and after 15 years in the marketing field, I embraced a gratifying return to my true calling. My dedication and project-based endeavours caught the attention of leaders, who swiftly recognized my innate writing talent and its potential to positively impact the organizations I served.

Beyond my love for writing and storytelling, my heart finds boundless joy in exploring the world and cherishing moments with my family. The experiences gathered from my travels and the time spent with loved ones add depth and richness to my creative voice, infusing them with a unique perspective and a genuine connection to life's diverse tapestry.

Education

Upon completing high school at Immaculata in Kelowna, BC, I had the wonderful opportunity to secure an NCAA volleyball scholarship at Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas, where I pursued a degree in Communications and English.

During the volleyball off-season, I seized the chance to work as a student assistant producer at WUTV, which proved to be a valuable experience that honed my television writing skills.

After my second year, I decided to transfer to the University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire. There, I successfully earned a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Marketing and English with a focus on Creative Writing and Editing, while also minoring in Political Science.

Throughout my time at UWEC, I actively served as the Chair of Advertising for the Annual English Festival, a significant event celebrating the realm of writing and literature. Additionally, I offered private tutoring sessions, specializing in English, to individuals in the comfort of their homes.

Community Involvement

I wholeheartedly believe the best way to thank people is by giving back to the community what was given to you. I am just as passionate about community involvement as I am about writing.

Over the years, I have volunteered with many organizations, including, but not limited to:

*Big Brother & Sisters of Wisconsin
*UW Eau Claire English Festival
*Mealshare
*Immaculata Regional High School Volleyball Coach
*Kelowna Volleyball Club
*UBCO Junior Heat
